Also, the fact that the decomposing of the cat is going to 'a home' is interesting because typically a home is where someone is during the majority of their live, but a home is also "where the heart is" and where people belong and the cat probably belongs in the earth like that.

Week 7- "September"
This piece was so short but the language used was very interesting and compelling. Attention to detail gives this piece a different meaning. The last line I think is the most important to focus on, "A home receiving the body in, expecting it." That's such a complex sentence, and you could focus on so many things from it. Like, the fact that it isn't just saying 'receiving the body' but 'receiving the body IN'. Using the word 'in' doesn't seem necessary because it is already stating that the body is being received but the fact that it is being received in is quite significant.

I agree with this, the last line is what I believe to be the main point of the piece. It was as if it was pot raying the ground to be the cats newly found home for it to rest in peace hence its, "-Shape of sleep.".
